Flipped learning is influencing K-12 education in new and exciting ways. So what is it, and what’s all the buzz about? Flipped learning, also known as the flipped classroom, takes the traditional model of learning and flips it. So instruction is delivered online, outside of the classroom, and homework is done in the classroom, with the teacher as a “guide on the side.” Increased access to technology — especially video — is helping to drive the flipped model and it’s receiving a thumbs up from students, teachers and parents alike.
