Commitment to service leads Jefferson County Schools to switch to Schoolwires®
State College, Pennsylvania, June 12, 2012 – Jefferson County Schools has selected Schoolwires to be its content management provider after the company demonstrated its commitment to quality customer service.
The district reviewed several solutions on the market after it experienced a decline in the quality of service from its existing vendor.
“As we reviewed other providers, we asked ourselves, ‘are they willing to really work with us to help us meet our goals?’” said Rob Perks, television/Web analyst at Jefferson County Schools in West Virginia. “Our decision to select Schoolwires came down to a philosophy of trust and the personalization of service we believe we will receive from the company. We feel confident that Schoolwires is interested in establishing a long-term relationship with our district.”
Jefferson County Schools is replacing its existing content management solution (CMS) with Schoolwires Centricity2™. In addition, the district purchased Synergy™ and Nimbus™ from Schoolwires. They are scheduled to go live with Centricity2 in July 2012.
- Centricity2 is a website and content management system that is designed to bring together all of a district’s essential technologies, tools and information in one place.
- Synergy is Web-based file sharing that’s secure and easy to use. Using the solution, students, teachers and other users can create, edit, organize, store and share digital files and presentations. Users can simultaneously access and edit documents and see the documents change in real time.
- Nimbus is a safe social learning environment that offers easy-to-use instructional and social networking tools in support of a collaborative learning experience. The district plans to leverage the solution to support the flipped classroom model of instruction that is being embraced by some of the district’s teachers.
“We agree wholeheartedly with Jefferson County Schools that the district/provider relationship is as important as the quality of the solutions,” said Christiane Crawford, Chief Executive Officer and President, Schoolwires. “We are very proud of the long-term and productive relationships we have with our customers: our retention rate exceeds 95 percent. We look forward to providing this same consistent and exceptional service to Jefferson County Schools."
