State College, Pennsylvania, August 6, 2012Schoolwires Centricity2 is the winner of a 2012-13 Readers’ Choice Award from eSchool News. The awards recognize the educational technology products that have had the greatest impact in schools.

“Schoolwires has created the ultimate content management environment for digital communication,” said George Weeks, director of technology for New Jersey’s Glassboro Public Schools. “Centricity makes it easy to keep our sites fresh and continually update the information we present to the public. The backend interface is easy to use, allowing anyone to edit a page, a section, or an entire site—making the traditional webmaster obsolete.  Web page editing is as simple as creating an eMail. … With this product, we have been able to make our Web portal the primary source for information about the schools. Web statistics show a steady increase in unique visitors every month since we implemented the product five years ago.”

Centricity2 was selected by readers of eSchool News who were asked to submit their top picks for school hardware, software, websites, and services. Nearly 1,300 readers responded. The editors then chose the 50 best responses.

Centricity2 is a website and content management system that offers group management capabilities, mobile device support, and a suite of Web 2.0 tools. It’s designed to integrate seamlessly with all compatible systems, data, and third-party applications using a single sign-on password. District leaders can measure their community’s engagement through integrated web analytics that help monitor users’ online activity.

“The ultimate judges of the value of our solutions are the districts that use them every day to connect with their constituents and support their students. Awards like this and our consistent client retention rate of more than 95 percent tell us that districts find value in our products,” said Christiane Crawford, CEO and President, Schoolwires. “We are pleased to add this award to the list of accolades for Centricity2.”
