Responsibilities
This role is primarily responsible for achieving revenue objectives in his/her respective market. This position will work with resources in and outside of Schoolwires to effectively sell Schoolwires products and services into US K12 public school districts.
This is a home-office based role providing the sales maker great flexibility of location and time management in order to maximize territory sales objectives. Success in this role will be defined by the intellectual horsepower, professional sales acumen, energy, strategy, business sense, and understanding of K12 public educational needs of key constituents.
Qualifications
- Selling into US K12 Public School Districts
- Proven successful track record of meeting top line revenue objectives in a field sales role
- Demonstrable methods for developing a territory, increasing market share, and consistently achieving revenue objectives with effective management of business and profitability issues
- A track record of negotiation a large volume of opportunities with significant win rate while minimizing the use of discount
- Work with sales engineering and other resources to achieve revenue targets and growth
- Understand customers’ technical and specification requirements and provide Schoolwires solution to address requirements
- Demonstrable experience in confidently contacting prospects to align products capabilities with prospect needs
Candidates must have:
- Organizational skills
- Ability to initiate and follow up on leads
- Great phone etiquette
- Outstanding in-person presentation skills
- Experience in establishing prices
- Ability to follow-up on customer issues in a timely fashion
- Ongoing (real-time, ongoing) self-managed sales development
- In depth knowledge of how to use CRM as a sales tool to manage business
- Proven experience in managing a highly accurate sales forecast, short and long term
- Capability to travel to meet prospects, face to face
- Some overnight travel will be required from time-to-time
Additionally, the ideal candidate’s education and experience should include:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least five years of selling into US K12 Public School Districts
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Professional sales training and ongoing self-development
- Team player
- Be prepared to discuss this experience during the interview process
